Besides painting portraits of adults and children from her studio in Raleigh, North Carolina, Michelle Snead also paints landscapes and florals. Whenever possible, she sets up her easel and paints en plein aire in order to experience the outdoors better and see the vivid colors around her. These landscapes may include seascapes, rivers, gardens, boats, and pastures. The beauty of nature unfurls itself whether it is cultivated or natural, and these paintings in oil and pastel are colorful and expressive.
